Alan Shearer is picking his five favourite goals from the record 260 he scored in the Premier League.
NEW 2-1 EVE, 2002/03
The third goal that Shearer selects is probably one of his most famous in the Premier League.
Newcastle United were a goal down to Everton at St James' Park at the start of December 2002 with the clock ticking down.
"It was so late in the game, and it was just, 'Why not take a pop? We need a goal,' " says Shearer in the video above.
"And I just knew where it was going as soon as I hit it. And it was going in the top corner."
The strike in the 85th minute inspired a 2-1 win for Newcastle thanks to an Li Tie own goal four minutes later.
"This goal against Everton was, I think, the best technically I had scored over the years.
"And I remember [Newcastle manager] Bobby Robson saying at the end of the game that I'd probably never catch another ball as sweet as that in my career.
"And he was absolutely right because 99 times out of a 100 that shot ends up in the Gallowgate End."
