Manchester City survived a late rally to return to winning ways with a 3-2 victory over Derby County at the Academy Stadium.
Seeking a response after defeats by Brighton & Hove Albion and Tottenham Hotspur, City raced into a 3-0 lead.
Felix Nmecha and Lorenzo Gonzales each scored inside the opening 15 minutes and Benjamin Garre looked to have put the match beyond doubt on 74 minutes.
However, Derby struck back through Josh Shonibore, two minutes later, and Max Bird seven minutes from time, to make for a tense finale.
City held on, though, for a win that lifts them up to fourth place, a point behind leaders Arsenal.
Derby are two points further back in seventh.
