Of the star names to back over the busy festive fixtures, one player who stands out for Fantasy Premier League expert Mark Sutherns is Eden Hazard (£11.0m).
The Chelsea midfielder appeals to Sutherns for a number of reasons.
When asked on the latest FPL Show whether Hazard would be the one player to recommend for managers, Sutherns replies: “I think he would. He's the one that's most assured of starts.
"That's what he gives you over Christmas. He's the one in form, he's a decent price, he's on penalties."
The Belgian also has a run of promising fixtures.
Of Chelsea’s next seven matches, four are rated just two in the Fixture Difficulty Rankings (FDR).
Chelsea's next seven matches
GW | Opponent | FDR |
---|---|---|
19 | Watford (A) | 3 |
20 | Crystal Palace (A) | 2 |
21 | Southampton (H) | 2 |
22 | Newcastle (H) | 2 |
23 | Arsenal (A) | 4 |
24 | Bournemouth (A) | 3 |
25 | Huddersfield (H) | 2 |
And while four of those fixtures are away, Hazard is producing returns this season on the road and not just at Stamford Bridge.
"He's a different kind of player now," Sutherns said.
"That was absolutely the case: he was always very strong at Stamford Bridge and on the road not as convincing but it makes no difference now."
