Mercedes-Benz Stadium, one of the busiest stadiums in North America, is a state-of-the-art, multi-purpose venue in the heart of Atlanta, Georgia. It is renowned for its innovative design, fan experience, and ability to host world-class sporting and entertainment events.
Mercedes-Benz Stadium has been at the heart of the U.S. soccer boom over the past decade, with the city becoming one of the sport’s strongest markets in North America. Atlanta United launched in 2017 as the most successful expansion franchise in MLS history, breaking nearly every attendance record, winning every major domestic trophy (MLS Cup, Campeones Cup, and U.S. Open Cup), reaching five million fans faster than any club in MLS history, and consistently ranking among the top 10-15 teams globally in attendance. The stadium was the site of Atlanta United’s 2018 MLS Cup victory and the club’s 2019 Campeones Cup triumph over Club América.
Beyond club soccer, Atlanta has become a premier destination for international soccer. The city hosted the prestigious opening match of the 2024 Conmebol Copa América, along with two additional tournament matches featuring Argentina and the U.S. Men's National Team. Mercedes-Benz Stadium hosted U.S. Women’s National Team for the opening round of the SheBelieves Cup and has been a frequent host for international friendlies, including matches featuring the Mexican National Team. In 2023, Mercedes-Benz Stadium hosted the Premier League’s first-ever Summer Series in the U.S., with Brentford, Brighton & Hove Albion, Chelsea and Newcastle becoming the first Premier League clubs to play in a double-header of matches at Mercedes-Benz Stadium. The venue will also serve as a host site for the 2026 FIFA Men’s World Cup.

Mercedes-Benz Stadium has hosted some of the biggest events in sports and entertainment. It was the site of Super Bowl LIII in 2019 and is set to host Super Bowl LXII in 2028. The stadium has been a premier destination for college football, being the first to host the college football national championship twice as well as multiple college kick-off games as well as bowl games.
