See which players are unavailable for Premier League matches because they are suspended or are close to a ban due to their accumulation of yellow cards.

Who is suspended?

Twelve players are currently suspended for Matchweek 19, while Ipswich Town's Sam Morsy will miss Friday's match away to Arsenal.

Bruno Fernandes was sent off for two bookable offences in Manchester United's 1-0 defeat to Wolverhampton Wanderers and is unavailable for the visit of Newcastle United

Team-mate Manuel Ugarte will join him on the sidelines after he collected his fifth yellow card of the campaign. Like Fernandes, he'll serve a one-match ban.

In addition to Ugarte, eight other players have reached the yellow card suspension threshold.

West Ham United pair Tomas Soucek and Guido Rodriguez, together with Aston Villa's Matty Cash, Nottingham Forest's Ryan Yates, AFC Bournemouth's Justin Kluivert, Crystal Palace's Marc Guehi, Liverpool's Dominik Szoboszlai and Leicester City's Jordan Ayew were all yellow carded for the fifth time.

Djed Spence was dismissed for picking up two cautions in Tottenham Hotspur's 1-0 loss to Nottingham Forest, and will miss the game against Wolves on Sunday.

And Jhon Duran was sent off for serious foul play as Aston Villa lost 3-0 to Newcastle United. He will serve a three-match suspension, which includes two Premier League matches and the FA Cup third-round tie versus West Ham.

Unlike yellow cards, red cards are carried over to the domestic cup competitions.

Three players have completed their bans ahead of Matchweek 19.

Everton's Ashley Young, Forest's Nicolas Dominguez and West Ham's Lucas Paqueta could all return after serving their yellow card suspensions.

Who is close to a ban?

Players who receive a total of five yellow cards in their first 19 matches will be given a one-match suspension.

Note that Liverpool and Everton will play their 19th fixture in MW20, following the postponement of the Merseyside derby.

On Boxing Day, Antonee Robinson joined Morgan Rogers and Nicolas Jackson among a group of 41 players on four yellow cards, a list that also includes Wolves defender Rayan Ait-Nouri.

Meanwhile Cole Palmer, one of several players on three yellow cards, is no longer at risk of an immediate suspension, with Chelsea having played their 18th fixture.

Should a player be booked 10 times across their first 32 Premier League matches, they will be suspended for two games. Yellow cards are not carried over to the EFL Cup or FA Cup.
