How the Premier League Charitable Fund works
The Premier League Charitable Fund uses Premier League and partner funding to develop programmes and provide support to 106 Club Community Organisations (CCOs) from the National League to the Premier League.
We support 106 CCOs
Find out moreCCOs are supported to deliver innovative programmes and quality services thanks to Premier League Charitable Fund investment in infrastructure and capability, training and advice.
The Premier League Charitable Fund monitors and reports on the overall impact of the charity's activity to demonstrate the value of football to communities and the value of the Premier League and partner investment.
The Premier League Charitable Fund works in three broad ways to achieve its goals...
i. Working in partnership with the Premier League which drives strategy and objectives; with the police and other partners and funders, who support the charity's work; and with CCOs and clubs, who deliver Premier League programmes funded through the Premier League Charitable Fund for participants.
ii. Supporting CCOs primarily through funding, but also through training, guidance and networking opportunities. This contributes to CCOs' delivery of programmes with value for money, and to sustainably respond to need within their communities.
iii. Delivering outcomes for participants. The wide-ranging and popular appeal of football, combined with clubs’ own connections and platform within communities, gives CCOs a unique opportunity to connect with people and offer them a sense of belonging and identity.
Support and Funding
The Premier League Charitable Fund administers core funding from the Premier League, Professional Footballers' Association, and other charity partners, which allows CCOs to tailor their community provision to local need with responsiveness and autonomy.
This core funding can also help CCOs to secure match funding from other sources.
Support from the Premier League and the Premier League Charitable Fund's partners has enabled more than 3.1 million hours of activity to be delivered in some of the most deprived areas of England and Wales, using the power of football to enable young people to achieve their potential.
Premier League programmes and funds
Premier League funding distributed by the Premier League Charitable Fund also supports CCOs to deliver one or more national Premier League programmes or funds in their local communities.
