WHO'S GOING TO BE YOUR

MAN OF THE MATCH?

Match report

A high-octane performance from Tottenham Hotspur ended Manchester City’s 100% start to the Premier League season with a 2-0 win at White Hart Lane.

An own goal from Aleksandar Kolarov and a second from Dele Alli ensured Spurs drew to within one point of their opponents at the top of the table.

Kolarov turned into his own net from close range in the ninth minute after a teasing cross from Danny Rose, before Alli netted his second of the campaign after a neat through-ball from Son Heung-min eight minutes before half-time.

Erik Lamela missed the chance to make it three from the penalty spot after Alli was fouled by Fernandinho, before Hugo Lloris denied Sergio Aguero with two sharp stops to inflict Pep Guardiola’s first defeat at Man City.
