Yan Dhanda's superb late goal gave Liverpool a 1-0 victory over Manchester City to maintain his side's 100% start to the Premier League 2 campaign.
The 18-year-old striker claimed the decisive goal with a curling strike that beat Man City goalkeeper Daniel Grimshaw at Prenton Park with only a minute to go.
Liverpool, with Marko Grujic and Danny Ings in the starting line-up, had the better of the first period, Harry Wilson hitting the post with a free kick, while both goalkeepers were called into action in a breathless second half, before Dhanda's late intervention.
The Reds are three points clear at the top of the PL2 Division 1 table, after claiming four wins from their first four matches, and they next travel to West Ham United on 18 September while Man City, still searching for their first PL2 win of the campaign, host Sunderland two days earlier.
