Brighton & Hove Albion eased to a comfortable 3-1 victory over Crystal Palace despite being reduced to 10 men in the first half.
Chris Hughton's side opened the scoring on 24 minutes, when Glenn Murray converted a penalty after James McArthur had fouled Jose Izquierdo.
Four minutes later Shane Duffy was sent off after a clash with Patrick van Aanholt.
Brighton doubled their lead immediately afterwards when Leon Balogun, substituted on after Duffy's red card, scored with his first touch at a corner.
Florin Andone extended Brighton's lead with a solo effort in first-half stoppage time.
Palace's second-half reply was limited to Luka Milivojevic's 81st-minute penalty after a foul on Wilfried Zaha.
But Brighton held on to win the M23 derby and move up to 10th with 21 points. Palace drop to 15th on 12 points.
