    Match summary

Two goals from Romelu Lukaku helped Manchester United claim a 3-1 victory at Crystal Palace to maintain pressure on the Premier League's top four.

Andros Townsend had two early chances for the Eagles, while at the other end Lukaku volleyed over from a corner.

But when Luke Shaw surged into the penalty area and passed to Lukaku on 33 minutes, the Belgian superbly finished into the corner.

Seven minutes after the break, Lukaku doubled Man Utd's advantage after Victor Lindelof nodded down a corner.

Joel Ward's diving header gave Crystal Palace hope with 24 minutes left, before Ashley Young settled the contest on 83 minutes.

Man Utd stay fifth on 55 points, one behind Arsenal, while Crystal Palace are in 14th, on 30 points.
