Chelsea kept the pressure on their top-four rivals as first-half goals from Gonzalo Higuain and Jorginho earned a 2-1 victory at Fulham.
Higuain put Chelsea ahead in the 20th minute, converting a low cross from Cesar Azpilicueta.
Kepa Arrizabalaga did well to deny Aleksandar Mitrovic, but from the corner, Calum Chambers volleyed in the equaliser on 27 minutes.
Chelsea restored their lead four minutes later through Jorginho's well-placed strike, his first goal since Matchweek 1.
New Fulham manager Scott Parker saw his team fight back after the break, Arrizabalaga denying Tom Cairney and Joe Bryan before saving a late header from Mitrovic.
Chelsea are sixth on 56 points, a point below Arsenal and two from Manchester United, but with a match in hand.
Fulham remain 19th, on 17 points, 10 from safety.
