Leander Dendoncker’s second-half volley gave Wolverhampton Wanderers a 1-0 win over Fulham to strengthen their grip on seventh place.
Wolves had the better of the first half, with Diogo Jota twice going close, while Dendoncker rattled a header against the crossbar.
Fulham offered an occasional threat at the other end, with Joe Bryan twice forcing Rui Patricio into saves.
The hosts finally broke the deadlock with 15 minutes remaining, Dendoncker superbly volleying in Matt Doherty’s right-wing cross.
The victory takes Wolves on to 57 points, six clear of Leicester City, who travel to Manchester City on Monday needing a win to stand any chance of denying Wolves seventh.
Relegated Fulham, whose late substitute Harvey Elliott became the youngest player to appear in the Premier League, aged 16 years and 30 days, stay 19th on 26 points.
