Kasper Schmeichel denied Brighton & Hove Albion from the penalty spot but the Seagulls earned a vital point in their battle against relegation from their 0-0 draw at King Power Stadium.
Neal Maupay had the opportunity to put Brighton ahead in the 14th minute, after a foul on Aaron Connolly by James Justin, but his spot-kick was kept out by Leicester City's goalkeeper.
Leicester might have taken the lead in first-half stoppage time, but after Wilfred Ndidi's deflected shot bounced into the path of Caglar Soyuncu the defender guided his header wide.
In the second half James Maddison had Leicester's best chances as he flashed a shot wide and fired a free-kick over the bar.
The draw keeps Leicester third on 55 points, four more than Chelsea.
Brighton climb to 15th on 33 points.
