West Bromwich Albion were left to rue missed chances as they were held by Burnley to a goalless draw despite playing most of the match with 10 men.
The visiting team set the early tone. Matheus Pereira, who threatened throughout, was twice denied by Nick Pope while Jay Rodriguez headed wide at the other end.
West Brom’s hopes were hit when Semi Ajayi was sent off on the half-hour after his handball denied a Burnley break on goal.
Despite the man disadvantage, the Baggies threw everything at Burnley in the second half.
Mbaye Diagne struck the bar on 72 minutes from close range before James Tarkowski cleared Pereira’s shot off the line.
Burnley are unbeaten in four matches and stay 15th with 28 points.
A second successive draw keeps West Brom second from bottom on 14 points, 11 off safety.
