Two quickfire goals took Manchester City to within three points of a fifth Premier League title as they won 2-0 at Crystal Palace.
There were few chances in the opening 45 minutes but Christian Benteke's close-range shot drew a good block from Ederson.
City took control in the second half with two goals in 83 seconds, Sergio Aguero scoring for the first time at Selhurst Park with a powerful finish from Benjamin Mendy’s cross on 57 minutes.
It was also the Argentinian's 182nd league goal for City, moving him one behind the Premier League record, held by Wayne Rooney for Manchester United.
Palace had little time to recover as Ferran Torres doubled the lead with a measured finish from outside the area.
City had chances to extend their lead, with Aymeric Laporte and Raheem Sterling each denied by Vicente Guaita.
A record-equalling 11th consecutive away victory puts City 13 points clear of Man Utd and they will be confirmed as champions if United lose to Liverpool on Sunday.
Palace stay 13th with 38 points.
