Hwang double earns Wolves' second win in a row

Hwang Hee-chan scored Wolves’ first home Premier League goals of the season to give them a 2-1 win over Newcastle United.

Both goals were set up by fellow striker Raul Jimenez, with the first coming from a tight angle in the 20th minute.

Substitute Jeff Hendrick equalised for Newcastle four minutes before half-time with a shot from the edge of the area past the recovering Jose Sa.

The Wolves goalkeeper denied Allan Saint-Maximin putting Newcastle ahead after the break with a point-blank save.

That proved crucial as Hwang restored Wolves’ lead with a shot into the bottom corner after more good work by Jimenez.

Wolves’ second successive win lifts them to 11th on nine points, while Newcastle drop to 19th on three.
