WHO'S GOING TO BE YOUR

MAN OF THE MATCH?

Report

Goals either side of half-time were enough for AFC Bournemouth to make it three wins from four matches as Andoni Iraola's side secured a 2-0 victory against a struggling Crystal Palace side.

How the match unfolded

It was Palace who made the brighter start, Jordan Ayew calling Neto into action inside the first five minutes with a firm near-post shot that was tipped behind.

But Bournemouth soon responded, Antoine Semenyo's first-time shot forcing Sam Johnstone into a strong save before the Cherries made the breakthrough in the 25th minute.

Ryan Christie whipped in a corner that was flicked on by Luis Sinisterra and met at the back post by Marcos Senesi, who headed home from close range for his first goal of the season.

Palace came close to an instant response as Ayew skipped round a challenge before producing a low shot that Neto could only parry, but Odsonne Edouard was unable to latch on to the loose ball.

Having recently lost Cheick Doucoure and Eberechi Eze to injury, Palace were then dealt another blow as Tyrick Mitchell was forced off in the 29th minute.

Palace started the second half with a point to prove and Jefferson Lerma burst up the pitch and crashed a thunderous strike against a post as the hosts searched for an equaliser.

But in stoppage time any hope of a late Palace leveller was ended when Bournemouth found a second.

Substitute Kieffer Moore set away Marcus Tavernier, who rounded Johnstone before laying a pass back to Philip Billing, whose first-time cross was met by Moore at the back post to secure all three points for the Cherries.

Bournemouth rise to 15th in the table, only behind Palace on goal difference.
