Liverpool have been flawless in the Premier League title race for the past two months, last dropping points on 3 March against Everton.
But history suggests it will be hard for Liverpool to extend their seven-match winning run at Newcastle United on Saturday and reclaim top spot from Manchester City, who host Leicester City on Monday.
St James' Park has been one of their bogey grounds in recent years.
Long wait
Liverpool have only won one of their last seven Premier League matches in Newcastle and that victory was more than six years ago, in April 2013.
They have lost four of the other six visits, drawing two, and another defeat would mean Man City will clinch the PL Trophy if they beat Leicester.
With 10 Premier League defeats at St James’ Park, only trips to Manchester United (16 defeats), Chelsea (14) and Tottenham Hotspur (11) have brought more losses for the Merseysiders.
Unwelcoming hosts
Newcastle’s home form suggests that it is a dangerous time for Jurgen Klopp's team to visit Tyneside.
Rafa Benitez’s side have won six of their last seven PL home matches, scoring at least twice each time.
Newcastle have also won their last four league matches at St James' Park in the month of May, scoring 13 goals and conceding just one.
Cause for optimism
But Liverpool can draw confidence from their current winning run.
The Reds are also unbeaten in their five PL matches against Magpies manager Benitez.
