Harry Maguire will get the chance to emulate one of his Premier League idols after completing a move to Manchester United from Leicester City.
Central defender Rio Ferdinand was an early inspiration for Maguire during a glittering 12-year career at Old Trafford which included six Premier League titles and the UEFA Champions League.
"He brought the ball out of defence really well and was very comfortable on the ball," Maguire said of Ferdinand when he was a Hull City player back in 2016/17.
"He had a bit of everything in his prime and was a great centre-half."
Maguire signed a six-year contract with the Red Devils on Monday and Man Utd fans could get their first opportunity to see the defender in action when they face Chelsea at Old Trafford on Sunday 11 August.
