Tyreke Johnson scored the only goal as Southampton earned their first win of this season's Premier League Cup by beating Swansea City 1-0 in their Group A encounter.
Johnson headed home a cross from Lloyd Isgrove in only the sixth minute as Saints got up and running in the competition after losing their opening match to Bristol City.
It was a first defeat for the Swans, who drew their opening tie at Newcastle United.
