Manchester City's Paolo Fernandes has won the Premier League 2 Player of the Month award for October.
The midfielder was selected by a panel of the Premier League Football Development Department after scoring four goals last month as Man City went top of PL2 Division 1 with wins over Tottenham Hotspur, Southampton and Liverpool.
The 18-year-old emerged victorious from a shortlist that included Norwich City's Todd Cantwell, Blackburn Rovers’ Connor Mahoney, West Ham United's Domingos Quina and Stoke City's Thibaud Verlinden.

"It's great to be recognised by people in the game and it inspires me to keep working hard to make the difference for the team," Fernandes told mancity.com.
His goals have helped Man City to the top of the PL2 Division 1 table and they travel to Everton, with whom they are level on points, on Sunday.
