Brighton & Hove Albion ended West Ham United's 100% record start to this season's Premier League Cup with a 3-1 win at Dagenham & Redbridge.

Jayson Molumby put Brighton ahead against the holders just before half-time and, although Djair Parfitt-Williams levelled midway through the second half, Jesse Starkey restored the visiting team's lead before Joe Ward sealed the win in stoppage time.

The win sent Brighton above West Ham at the top of the Group E, with both on six points. Leicester City and Nottingham Forest, the other teams in the group, have yet to pick up a point between them.
