Colchester United continued their unbeaten start to the Premier League Cup campaign with a 2-2 comeback draw against Derby County.
Visitors Derby were 2-0 up by the 36th minute at the Weston Homes Community Stadium, with two goals from Charles Vernam taking his tally to nine for the season.
Callum Guy had a penalty saved by Colchester goalkeeper Dillon Barnes with the score at 1-0 and the hosts fought back through Dion Sembie-Ferris and Cameron James to salvage a draw.

The result takes Colchester to four points from their two matches, two points behind Group C leaders Hull City with a match in hand. Derby are third ahead of Manchester City.
