Stoke City battled back from two goals down to win 4-3 at Aston Villa, securing a seventh straight victory in Division 2.
Kaine Hayden and Aaron Ramsey put Villa 2-0 up inside the opening 26 minutes. But Lewis Macari quickly pulled one back for Stoke, who went on to score three times between the 42nd minute and the half-time whistle, with Douglas James-Taylor netting twice.
Ramsey made it 4-3 after the break, scoring his second goal just days after signing his first professional contract. However, Villa were unable to complete a fightback of their own.
Stoke remain second, 10 points off the top and 10 points inside the playoff spots. Villa stay eighth, three points outside the playoffs.
