The Scout’s Panel of experts reveal their ultimate starting XI for Gameweek 12 ahead of the Fantasy Premier League deadline of 11:00 GMT on Saturday 20 November.
Goalkeeper
Vicente Guaita (CRY) £4.6m
Sam Bonfield (@FPLFamily): With back-to-back clean sheets against Manchester City and Wolverhampton Wanderers, Guaita is one of the league's in-form goalkeepers right now. He is making a save every 31.9 minutes and offers potential for additional save points as well as clean sheets.
Defenders
Trent Alexander-Arnold (LIV) £7.7m
Sam Bonfield: Alexander-Arnold is currently the second highest-scoring defender in the game. Even though Liverpool have failed to keep a clean sheet in the last two Gameweeks, he has still registered 13 points. His route to points is broad with clean sheets, set-piece threat and attacking returns making him an excellent pick.
Joao Cancelo (MCI) £6.5m
Utkarsh Dalmia (@zophar666): Over the last four Gameweeks, Cancelo's 16 shots were at least seven more than any defender. He faces an Everton side who scored only three goals over that period, also lifting his chances of a clean sheet.
Ben Chilwell (CHE) £6.0m
Lee Bonfield (@FPLFamily): There seems to be a friendly rivalry between Chilwell and Reece James (£5.9m) on the wings for Chelsea similar to the Alexander-Arnold/Andrew Robertson (£7.0m) combination that was so deadly a couple of years back. Three goals in his first three starts this season puts Chilwell fourth for goal threat among defenders, despite only having played five matches. I'm backing these superb attacking stats to continue.
Reece James (CHE) £5.9m
Paul Gee (@FPLPaulGee): There is always the possibility of rotation but I think James is worth the risk. Chelsea typically create more chances down their right side and Leicester City have conceded more chance down their left, so for me this is the recipe for success.
Midfielders
Mohamed Salah (LIV) £13.0m
Holly Shand (@HollyShand): The Egyptian is simply unstoppable right now. His ability to rack up goals and assists in equal measure make him a must-have for our squads and almost a permanent captain pick.
Phil Foden (MCI) £8.3m
Tom Cantle (@WGTA_FPL): It's long been known that Foden has rich potential, but with great fixtures to come and solid underlying data to accompany his plentiful minutes on the pitch, this could be the year he finally flourishes in Fantasy.
Jarrod Bowen (WHU) £6.3m
Pranil Sheth (@Lateriser12): West Ham United have a good run of fixtures from Gameweek 16 onwards and only Salah has a higher expected goal involvement than Bowen in the last seven Gameweeks. At just £6.3m and under three per cent owned, he's a very solid pick.
Conor Gallagher (CRY) £5.8m
Holly Shand: After a quiet few weeks, Gallagher has stepped up three attacking returns in his last two matches. He is now the second-highest scoring midfielder in the game behind Salah and remains a bargain at his price point.
Forwards
Harry Kane (TOT) £12.2m
Pranil Sheth: Kane is simply too good a player to not be an option. I think he's a world class player and Conte a world class head coach. Given the run of home matches in the next few weeks, especially against promoted teams, who Kane loves to play against, I really like him as a pick now that he has a taste of scoring for England.
Callum Wilson (NEW) £7.3m
Utkarsh Dalmia: Newcastle United's new head coach Eddie Howe knows how to get the best out of Wilson from their time together at AFC Bournemouth. We can expect to see a new manager bounce from the Magpies at home to a Brentford side who have conceded eight goals over the last four Gameweeks, keeping no clean sheets.
