The Scout's panel of experts give their verdicts on who managers should captain ahead of the Fantasy Premier League Gameweek 16 deadline of 18:30 GMT on Friday 10 December.

Pranil Sheth (@Lateriser12)

This is the Gameweek to choose someone other than Mohamed Salah (£13.1m) because Aston Villa have shown they are a good team under Steven Gerrard.

I like Cristiano Ronaldo (£12.4m) against Norwich City, who are dealing with a few injury issues.

Aston Villa have been much better defensively under Gerrard so it could be a good week to look beyond Salah, with Ronaldo against the Canaries looking a great pick.

Sam Bonfield (@FPLFamily)

I'm going to keep the faith with “The Egyptian King” this weekend. Salah’s form and consistency make me want to stay with him, especially as the rest of my team is so uncertain with injury concerns.

I do think Ronaldo against Norwich could be a fantastic pick this week, though.

Ben Crabtree (@FC_CrabDogg)

I need to make some changes as I have three Tottenham Hotspur players. Harry Kane (£12.1m) to Ronaldo captain looks like an easy decision.

Paul Gee (@FPLPaulGee)

It's hard to come away from Salah, but Ronaldo is a great alternative. I think Manchester United will be out to prove a point.

Holly Shand (@HollyShand)

I'm sticking with Salah once again this week, after his early substitution in Liverpool's midweek UEFA Champions League match.
