Luke Shaw is close to a comeback for Manchester United but not in time for Boxing Day. Chris Smalling is fit but Jose Mourinho has not revealed whether Henrikh Mkhitaryan can return from his ankle injury.

Sunderland manager David Moyes says Jan Kirchhoff will miss the next three months with a knee injury, but Javier Manquillo, Steven Pienaar and Billy Jones could return.
