The Gunners are among only two sides, along with Leicester City, to have Double Gameweeks in both 33 and 36, playing six matches in the next four rounds of fixtures.

Gabriel ranks joint-second for the north London side in Fantasy this season, level with goalkeeper Aaron Ramsdale (£5.1m) on 119 points.

The Brazilian's multiple routes to returns have been the key to his success.

He has scored three goals and claimed 13 clean sheets, while collecting 13 bonus points.

The underlying numbers further highlight Gabriel's goal threat.

He has recorded 21 shots inside the penalty area this season, a total bettered by only four other defenders in Fantasy.

His nearest rival among Arsenal defenders is Ben White (£4.6m), who has managed nine shots in the box.

Away returns

Mikel Arteta's men visit both Southampton and Chelsea in Double Gameweek 33.

Gabriel was a big success in his previous meeting with Saints, scoring and earning 11 points in Gameweek 16.

He has proved more productive on the road, averaging 5.2 points per away match compared with 3.8 at home.

Arsenal will go on to face Leeds United and Tottenham Hotspur in a bumper Double Gameweek 36, when 10 sides are scheduled to play twice.

Gabriel's potential at both ends of the pitch makes him the standout Gunners defender as they look to profit from their schedule and secure a top-four finish.
