The Scout looks at the transfer trends of Fantasy Premier League managers and picks out the best differentials ahead of the start of the 2022/23 season.
Goalkeepers
The goalkeepers from last season's top-three sides are the most popular picks in Fantasy so far.
Chelsea's Edouard Mendy (£5.0m) is the most-selected player in his position, found in over 23 per cent of squads.
Meanwhile, Liverpool's Alisson and Manchester City's Ederson (both £5.5m) have 19 and 15 per cent backing respectively, despite their premium prices.
But there are a number of appealing alternatives to consider between the posts, particularly for managers looking to play an early Wildcard.
Jose Sa (WOL) £5.0m
Wolverhampton Wanderers' No 1 was a major success in his first season in Fantasy last term.
Sa produced 146 points to finish fourth among 'keepers, only nine points behind the 155 of Ederson.
The Portuguese combined 11 clean sheets with 30 save points and 11 bonus points, highlighting his many routes to returns.
Owned by only 4.5 per cent of managers, Sa has the schedule to bring in more big scores from the start of 2022/23.
Wolves face only one of last season's top six teams in their opening six fixtures.
Hugo Lloris (TOT) £5.5m
Tottenham Hotspur's Frenchman finished second in his position last term, recording his career-high haul of 158 points.
Lloris's output was lifted by the arrival of Antonio Conte as Spurs' head coach in 2021/22.
The north London side claimed 13 clean sheets after the Italian was appointed in Gameweek 11, the third-most in the league.
Lloris has an ownership of only 4.7 per cent ahead of Spurs' kind opening schedule.
According to the Fixture Difficulty Ratings (FDR), four of their first six matches score only two.
Illan Meslier (LEE) £4.5m
The Leeds United goalkeeper has dropped £0.5m in cost from the start of last season after a disappointing 2021/22 campaign.
Meslier had finished as the second top-scoring 'keeper in 2020/21 on 154 points but he managed only 106 points last term.
Nonetheless, despite keeping a mere five clean sheets, his 34 save points were more than any other rival.
If Leeds can profit from their early schedule in their first full season under Jesse Marsch, Meslier can be a major source of value.
Eight of Leeds' opening 10 matches score only two in the FDR.
