Ivan Toney scored a goal in either half as Brentford climbed up to eighth with a 2-0 win over Brighton & Hove Albion.

Brentford took the lead on 27 minutes. Toney, making his 100th appearance for the club, cleverly flicked Frank Onyeka's cutback through the legs of Adam Webster and past Robert Sanchez.

Toney doubled the Bees' advantage in the 64th minute from the penalty spot with his eight goal of the season, after he had been fouled by Joel Veltman.
