George Waring equalised twice for Stoke City as they drew 2-2 with Sheffield United at Bramall Lane in Group H of the Premier League Cup.
Tyler Smith gave the Blades an early lead which Waring quickly cancelled out, but Jordan Hallam completed a lively start by putting United 2-1 ahead in the 19th minute.
Waring left it late to earn a point for Stoke as he finished smartly in the 82nd minute.

The point puts Stoke clear in second on four points, six behind Reading, who have also played four matches, and one ahead of Birmingham City, who are a point better off than Sheffield United, with both sides having three ties remaining.

Stoke host Birmingham on 11 February with Reading taking on Sheffield United two days later in the next set of fixtures.
Stoke's next PL2 match is at Middlesbrough at Hartlepool on Monday.
