Dejan Lovren played for 75 minutes as Liverpool beat Chelsea 2-0 at Prenton Park, in front of the watching Jurgen Klopp, to stay third in the Division 1 table.
The centre-half has missed his side's last five first-team matches because of knee and back injuries but played his part alongside Marko Grujic, who completed the full 90 minutes as he stepped up his own comeback from injury.
Captain Harry Wilson (pictured) put the Reds ahead with a 21st-minute penalty after a foul on Trent Alexander-Arnold, who hit the second from a free-kick 20 minutes from time.
