Mason Mount has revealed that Cristiano Ronaldo and David Beckham are his inspirations when it comes to taking free-kicks.
The two Manchester United legends were renowned for their unique technique from set-pieces during their time at Old Trafford, with Beckham's 18 direct free-kicks a Premier League record.
Indeed, one free-kick from Ronaldo in particular stands out for Mount, who was there to witness the moment against his boyhood club Portsmouth in January 2008.

“I was there in the away end, supporting my team Pompey, and was able to witness that special moment," Mount told the club's official website.
“I think that video of me taking the free-kick in training was after that day.
“So, it inspired me. And seeing that special moment at Old Trafford, I was in the away end. As I said, I was in awe of that situation and that iconic moment.
“So, I'd love to now replicate it.
“Becks was also a massive inspiration of mine, growing up with his free-kicks, and I was in awe of his technique."
Iconic shirt
Just as Beckham and Ronaldo did before him, Mount is the latest player to pull on United's iconic No 7 shirt.
The 24-year-old is promising to give it his all as he follows in the footsteps of some of the club's greats.
“I know the history and understand the responsibility that comes with this shirt,” Mount added.
“The most important for me is to gain your trust and I will work hard to do that. I won’t let you down Reds!”
