Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta insists that his side must be "brave and bold" as they head into the cauldron of Real Madrid's Bernabeu Stadium for Wednesday night's UEFA Champions League quarter-final second leg.
The Gunners produced a sensational 3-0 win in the first leg at Emirates Stadium last Tuesday, but Arteta is taking nothing for granted against the 15-time champions who have a history of great Champions League comebacks.
Speaking to the media ahead of Wednesday night's tie Arteta said: "We have to show the mindset to win. To be brave, to be dominant and to be determined.
"We need to have the conviction that we can be better than them and win the game.
"There are three aspects, the physical aspect, the emotional and the tactical.
"The emotional aspect is really important and I have a lot of reassurance from what the team has done all season, in positive contexts and difficult contexts.
"To progress to a quarter-final like this we are going to enjoy it."
When asked if he used "noise" in training to prepare his players for the intense atmosphere at the Bernabeu - as he famously did when the Gunners played Liverpool at Anfield - Arteta said: "No, I haven't done that. It's a different game but the emotional part is that they have to be confident and sure they are ready.
"We then have to be bold and brave to do it. They have to feel it."
Arsenal's stunning first-leg win, inspired by two sensational Declan Rice free-kicks, may have put them in control, yet Arteta insists that their preparation is focused on this being a match "at half-time".

"Our preparation has been the things we have to do, the things we have to dominate in different phases of the game to give us the best possible chance to win the game," he added.
"That's our mindset and how we are going to play on Wednesday."
Jorginho ruled out
The Gunners will have to manage without midfielder Jorginho, who has not recovered from an injury sustained against Brentford last weekend.
There was good news, however, with confirmation that both Ben White and Thomas Partey are available.
Despite the blow of missing the experience of Jorginho, a Champions League winner with Chelsea in 2020/21, Arteta insists that his squad has the depth to get the job finished in Italy.
"This team is ready and we've proven that in different contexts with different rivals," he added.
"What we did yesterday doesn't matter.
"The team is convinced and the team is confident that we can do that."
