Bruno Fernandes marked his first match as Manchester United captain with a goal in a 2-0 win over Arsenal in front of an American-record attendance of 82,262 in New York.
Fernandes smashed past Aaron Ramsdale from the edge of the box with his weaker left foot.
Jadon Sancho scored the other goal of the match, pouncing on an error from Gabriel and firing into the roof of the net.
Mason Mount again played in a deeper role in Man Utd's midfield, while Jurrien Timber made his first start for Arsenal. The only negative for United was Amad Diallo going off injured with an apparent ankle injury.
