Mac Allister's red card against Bournemouth overturned

Liverpool midfielder Alexis Mac Allister's red card in Saturday's 3-1 win over AFC Bournemouth has been overturned following a successful appeal.

Mac Allister was shown a straight red card and faced a three-match suspension after he was deemed to have unfairly challenged Ryan Christie.

Liverpool appealed against the suspension and the Football Association's Independent Regulatory Commission removed the suspension.

The Argentinian is now eligible for selection when the Reds travel to Newcastle United on Sunday 27 August.
