“I’m very happy. Very happy that the deal is done and I’m finally here,” Gravenberch told the club's official website.
“If you see it from the outside, it’s one of the biggest clubs in the world. Also the fans, the stadium, I think everything from the outside is top. So that’s why [it was the right club].”
“I’m really looking forward to [being at Anfield] and I can’t wait to hear the You’ll Never Walk Alone song,” the Reds’ new No.38 added.
“Now we start fresh again, a new start, and I’m going to give my all for this club. [My ambitions are] to win prizes. To win prizes, play a lot and show them who we are and who I am.”
Having come through the ranks at Ajax, the Netherlands international became the inaugural recipient of the Abdelhak Nouri trophy, awarded to the most promising talent in the prestigious Ajax academy.
Gravenberch made his senior debut in September 2018 aged only 16 years and 130 days, in turn becoming the youngest ever Ajax player to appear in the Eredivisie, breaking the longstanding record set by Clarence Seedorf.

After four years in the Dutch capital and with over 100 appearances for his boyhood club, the midfielder made the move to Bayern Munich in the summer of 2022, although limited game time in Bavaria has led to the youngster keen for a fresh start.
Gravenberch’s arrival further continues Liverpool’s already impressive midfield recruitment as he becomes Jurgen Klopp’s fourth addition of the summer.
Liverpool fans could get their first glimpse of the midfielder when they travel to Wolverhampton Wanderers on Saturday 16 September.
