The Scout's panel of Fantasy Premier League experts discuss whether it is worth keeping Manchester United players, who have a favourable run of fixtures but are in poor form.
Sam Bonfield (@FPLFamily)
Though Man Utd's Gameweek 9 fixture against Sheffield United looks appealing, I would only consider Rasmus Hojlund (£7.2m) for my team. Even then, with the likes of Julian Alvarez (£7.0m) and Ollie Watkins (£8.2m) playing well, Hojlund would be a risky purchase given his side's form.
Utkarsh Dalmia (@ZopharFPL)
Man Utd have some decent fixtures to come, with four of their five matches scoring two in the Fixture Difficulty Ratings (FDR). If you own any of their players, I would keep them ahead of their match against Sheff Utd. I certainly wouldn't be buying anyone, though.
Man Utd's fixtures GW9-13
GW | Opponent | FDR |
---|---|---|
9 | SHU (A) | 2 |
10 | MCI (H) | 5 |
11 | FUL (A) | 2 |
12 | LUT (H) | 2 |
13 | EVE (A) | 2 |

Owning Man Utd players has been painful but I am holding Marcus Rashford (£8.8m) and Bruno Fernandes (£8.4m) for Gameweek 9. However, with Arsenal playing Sheff Utd in Gameweek 10 and Man Utd taking on Manchester City, it'll take something special for me not to sell one of those two players for a Gunners midfielder.

With Sheff Utd up next, you will definitely want to hold any Man Utd players currently in your team. I still think they have some issues though, so I wouldn't be investing in their players for the long term.

I don't own any Man Utd players and I am fine with that. They haven't shown consistency in either attack or defence to make me concerned and I haven't regretted selling Fernandes or Rashford.
Gianni Buttice (@GianniButtice)
I haven't owned a Man Utd attacker since Gameweek 4 and I have been encouraging managers to sell for a while. However, for once, I'm supportive of the "give them one more week" theory, because they play Sheff Utd next.

I am holding one more week and then getting rid of them all. If there is one player to invest in, I think Hojlund is a decent option.
Mark McGettigan (@FPLGeneral)
It's not been a fun ride for managers heavily invested in Man Utd players, but it makes sense to give them one more week. I'll keep Fernandes before swapping him to Bukayo Saka (£8.5m), providing he is fit, for Gameweek 10.
