The Scout's panel of Fantasy Premier League experts discuss what they're planning to do with Mohamed Salah (£13.2m) and Son Heung-min (£9.8m), with both players taking part in international tournaments and possibly missing Gameweeks 21-24, depending on their respective nations’ progress.

Utkarsh Dalmia (@ZopharFPL)

There are a few names on my shortlist - Richarlison (£6.9m) and Diogo Jota (£7.7m) look like great picks, but I am worried about how good their teams will be after losing key players like Son and Salah. Manchester City are the team I want to target. They usually go on a run at this point in the season and I am considering doubling up with Kevin De Bruyne (£10.2m) and Phil Foden (£7.8m).

Sam Bonfield (@FPLFamily)

I am probably going to hold one of Son and Salah, as I know I will likely want them both back when they return, so doing this will allow me to retain some team value. I was scouting Jarrod Bowen (£8.0m) against Brighton, but West Ham struggled in attack without Kudus and Lucas Paqueta (£6.0m), which has put me off slightly, and then of course he got injured in the FA Cup. I am considering Son to Alejandro Garnacho (£4.8m) to free up the money for Erling Haaland (£13.9m), if the Norwegian is available for Gameweek 21.

Nick Harris (@WGTA_Nick)

I'll be looking to use the money from the sales of Salah and Son to bring Haaland back into my side. In midfield, I will also be looking at Foden, given City's excellent fixtures.

Lee Bonfield (@FPLFamily)

Salah to Jota and Son to Richarlison both feel like reasonable alternatives to keep managers invested in Spurs and Liverpool. Man City's fixtures look good though, and with Foden in good form and De Bruyne coming back from injury, both are on my radar.

Gianni Buttice (@GianniButtice)

I have a strong front eight and a benching headache most weeks, so there is an argument to suggest I should keep one of Son or Salah if my plan was to buy them back in a month's time. I'm really interested to see how Liverpool line up without Salah in domestic cup action and if I like what I see from Jota, then I am likely to bring him in. I'm also interested in Jeremy Doku (£6.5m) if he's fit for Gameweek 21.
