Pedro Porro's sensational long-range strike secured Tottenham Hotspur's place in Monday's FA Cup fourth round draw as they beat Burnley 1-0.

Ange Postecolgou only made two changes to the side that beat AFC Bournemouth 3-1 on New Year's Eve, with Dejan Kulusevski and Oliver Skipp coming in for Son Heung-min and Pape Matar Sarr, who are both away on international duty. Micky van de Ven was back among the substitutes.

As for Burnley, manager Vincent Kompany made five alterations, handing rare starts to goalkeeper Arijanet Muric and winger Anass Zaroury.

Burnley's Zeki Amdouni missed the best chance in the first half, but he could only shoot over from inside the penalty area.

Porro broke the deadlock with 12 minutes remaining, winning possession inside the Burnley half before arrowing an unstoppable shot into the top-left corner for his first goal of the season.

Hannes Delcroix and Amdouni missed late chances to equalise as Burnley suffer a third straight defeat in all competitions.

Postecoglou revealed after the match that Giovani Lo Celso and Ben Davies are potential injury concerns, with the Australian hoping the former's issue was more down to fatigue, while Davies suffered a hamstring problem.

Spurs' next match in the Premier League is a trip to Manchester United on Sunday 14 January while Burnley host Luton Town the following day.

Brentford & Wolves to meet again

Tommy Doyle's spectacular second-half strike earned 10-man Wolverhampton Wanderers a 1-1 draw at Brentford to force a third-round replay.

Thomas Frank named Josh Dasilva in the starting XI for the hosts, with the midfielder returning for the first time since August after recovering from a hamstring injury.

Meanwhile, Gary O'Neil handed recalls to Matt DohertySanti Bueno and Jean-Ricner Bellegarde.

Wolves were reduced to 10 men after only nine minutes when Joao Gomes was shown a red card for a dangerous tackle on Christian Norgaard. The Danish midfielder was unable to continue and was replaced by Vitaly Janelt.

Brentford went in front on 41 minutes, Neal Maupay lashing into the top-left corner from 10 yards after Wolves were unable to clear from a free-kick.

But 10-man Wolves responded with a superb equaliser in the 64th minute, Doyle shifting the ball on to his left foot before unleashing a powerful effort into the top-right corner from 25 yards following a cleverly-worked corner routine.

Brentford substitute Myles Peart-Harris came closest to scoring a winner, but he fired narrowly wide from close range.

They will face each other once more in the third-round replay in the midweek commencing 15 January. If the match is played on Wednesday 17 January, Ivan Toney will be available to return as his eight-month suspension for betting-related charges ends on the same day.

Brentford's next Premier League match is a home encounter with Nottingham Forest on Saturday 20 January while Wolves visit Brighton & Hove Albion two days later.

Fulham overcome Rotherham

Bobby De Cordova-Reid scored the only goal as Fulham booked their place in the fourth round with a 1-0 victory over Championship side Rotherham United.

Marco Silva took the opportunity to rotate his squad, making eight changes from the side that beat Arsenal 2-1. Only Tosin Adarabioyo, Timothy Castagne and De Cordova-Reid retained their spots in the starting XI.

De Cordova-Reid struck the only goal on 24 minutes, lashing a venomous strike into the roof of the net from 20 yards for his second goal in as many matches.

Fulham dominated possession and nearly doubled their lead when Andreas Pereira hit a post with a volley late in the first half before Tosin had a header tipped over the crossbar by Rotherham goalkeeper Viktor Johansson shortly after the break.

But one goal proved enough for the Cottagers, who are next in Premier League action on Saturday 13 January when they visit west London rivals Chelsea.
