Mohamed Salah’s (£13.0m) return to fitness could have a major impact on managers’ plans for Double Gameweek 25 (DGW25) of Fantasy Premier League.
Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp confirmed on Friday that the Egyptian is “in contention” for their two matches against Brentford and Luton Town following his recent absence with a muscle injury.
Having missed the last four Gameweeks, there is still a chance that Salah could have his minutes managed due to the Reds’ upcoming schedule.
Indeed, their home match against Luton takes place only four days before their EFL Cup final encounter with Chelsea.

But Salah’s output this season underlines why he can be more than worth the risk for managers in Fantasy.
He remains the top-scoring player in 2023/24 Fantasy despite missing the last four Gameweeks, while his seven double-figure hauls is also a league-high figure.
Notably, one of those bumper returns came against one of his two DGW25 opponents, Brentford, when Salah scored twice to collect 16 points in Gameweek 12.
The Egyptian’s return is also likely to impact the minutes of his team-mates Diogo Jota (£8.3m) and Darwin Nunez (£7.6m), who are among the three most-bought players for DGW25.
Both have attracted 370,000+ new owners, second only to the 560,000+ of Manchester City’s Erling Haaland (£14.4m), who also has a DGW25.
Haaland can now be found in over 72 per cent of squads ahead of his two home matches against Chelsea and Brentford.
More than 770,000+ FPL managers currently have their Triple Captain chip active and Haaland’s huge popularity means he will be the top candidate for the vast majority of those managers.
While there is enough doubt over Salah's minutes to avoid captaining or Triple-Captaining him for DGW25, there is no question that he is Liverpool's standout pick in Fantasy.
However, when finalising their plans ahead of Saturday’s 11:00 GMT deadline, FPL managers must remember that Liverpool have a Blank Gameweek 26 on the horizon and could also have a Blank Gameweek 29, should they remain in the FA Cup.
