Liverpool have been handed a significant injury boost with manager Jurgen Klopp confirming that Mohamed Salah is in contention to face Brentford on Saturday.
Salah hasn't featured for Liverpool since the first week of January after he departed for the Africa Cup of Nations with Egypt, and the winger's return to action was delayed after he suffered a muscle injury while on duty at the tournament.
But he is now ready to return as Liverpool continue their pursuit of a second Premier League title.
"Mo is back in full training, that brings him automatically into contention, of course,” Klopp said in his pre-match press conference.
In addition to Salah's return, Klopp revealed that a number of other first-team players will be available to face the Bees.
Liverpool's next five fixtures
Alisson and Joe Gomez both missed last Saturday's 3-1 win over Burnley due to illness, Conor Bradley was away on compassionate leave and Ibrahima Konate was ruled out through suspension after his red card against Arsenal.
When asked about the quartet, Klopp said: "Joey [Gomez] is fit again, Conor [Bradley] is back, Ali[sson] is back, so that's all positive."
However, Trent Alexander-Arnold, Dominik Szoboszlai and Thiago will not feature against Brentford as they continue to recover from their respective injuries.
What does Salah's return mean in FPL?
Salah’s (£13.0m) return to action is perfectly-timed for Fantasy Premier League managers ahead Liverpool’s Double Gameweek 25 against Brentford and Luton Town.
The Egyptian has seven double-digit hauls this season, including a 16-point score against Brentford in Gameweek 12.
Salah now looks to be the best alternative to Erling Haaland (£14.4m) for the captaincy, although with the Reds facing Chelsea in the EFL Cup final only four days after their home match versus Luton, there is a chance that his minutes could be managed after his four-Gameweek absence.
