Nicolas Jackson says Chelsea are fighting to qualify for European football next season after their 5-0 victory over West Ham United moved them above Manchester United into seventh.
"We want to fight to get into Europe [next season], and the key was that we went as a team," Jackson said after scoring his third goal in his last two matches.
"It started from the beginning. Everything together."
The Blues moved on to 54 points following their fourth consecutive home win, ahead of United on goal difference, having played one more match than the Red Devils, who visit Crystal Palace on Monday night. Newcastle United sit sixth, two points ahead of Mauricio Pochettino's side.

Pochettino expressed his delight at his side's mentality after backing up Thursday night's 2-0 victory over Tottenham Hotspur with another resounding London derby success.
"‘I am so pleased, so happy," he told the club's official website. "It continues the same feelings from Thursday and keeps up the momentum.
"The performance was fantastic in every aspect and the players deserve big credit to play again after a few days at this level. Massive credit to them."
Chelsea have impressively won nine of their last 11 Premier League home matches, and since the start of December, they are level with Arsenal for home wins (nine) and tied with Manchester City for home points, with 28.
"It's true last season was tough for everyone here and to turn the feelings and performance this season is difficult. We needed time for everyone to trust in the process and we have recovered good feelings at Stamford Bridge," he told BBC Sport.
"We are going to rest tomorrow and Tuesday we will prepare for Nottingham Forest."
