Southampton have brought in 20-year-old midfielder Lesley Ugochukwu on a season-long loan from Chelsea.
The Frenchman made 12 Premier League appearances for the Blues in 2023/24 and says he aims to, “work hard and give everything for the fans” for Southampton this season.

Evanilson began his career in his native country with Fluminense before spending time at Slovakian side STK Samorin and Brazilian club Tombense. He moved to Porto in September 2020 and scored 60 goals in 154 appearances.
“Evanilson is a hugely sought-after striker and for us to bring him to the club in a record-breaking deal shows our ambition and intent,” chief executive Neill Blake said on Bournemouth's website.
“Having scored 25 goals last season, including goals in the Champions League, we feel that his experience and ability despite only being 24 will help us to match our ambitions moving forward.
“It’s well known that we were keen on bringing a striker to the football club and for us to complete this deal so quickly is a testament to our recruitment team.”

Southampton have completed the signing of forward Cameron Archer from Aston Villa on a four-year contract.
Archer, a graduate of Villa's academy, spent last season at Sheffield United and made 29 Premier League appearances, scoring four goals, for the Blades.
The 22-year-old rejoined Villa this summer and featured heavily in pre-season, but could now be in contention for Southampton when they visit Newcastle United in their opening Premier League match of the season on 17 August.

“I'm really excited to be here. I had a good chat with the gaffer. Obviously, he told me everything I needed to hear," Archer told Southampton's website.
“That was one of the main reasons why I'm here, his playing style, his coaching and trying to improve me as a player. It's not a bad place to do that in the Premier League with Southampton.
“I just want to keep scoring goals and improve myself as a player, and I don't think there's a better place to do that than with Southampton.”
Ipswich secure double signing of Phillips and Szmodics
Ipswich Town have announced the double signings of Manchester City midfielder Kalvin Phillips and the 2023/24 Championship Golden Boot-winner Sam Szmodics from Blackburn Rovers.
Phillips has joined Ipswich on a season-long loan, having struggled to establish himself at Man City after joining from Leeds United. He has made Premier League 16 appearances across the past two seasons. He also had a loan spell at West Ham United last season, playing eight times.

“I want to play as many games as possible, enjoy playing football again and help the team win as many games as possible in the Premier League," Phillips told Ipswich's website.
Szmodics' dream come true
Szmodics, a 28-year-old forward, scored 33 times in all competitions last season and has agreed a four-year deal with Ipswich, taking the No 23 shirt. He made his international debut for Ireland against Belgium earlier this year.
“It’s every boy’s dream to play in the Premier League and I’ve always said to my friends, family and agents that I’ll get to the top one day," Szmodics told Ipswich's website.

Ipswich manager Kieran McKenna said: “He has a real feel for scoring goals and works so hard for the team both on and off the ball. His arrival gives us another really versatile forward player who can operate in different roles and systems, giving us a big goal threat and plenty of other qualities to add to the team.”
Spurs bring in Odobert
Tottenham Hotspur have signed 19-year-old winger Wilson Odobert from Burnley on a five-year contract until 2029.
The France Under-21 international, who will wear the No 28 shirt, started his career in Paris Saint-Germain's academy before joining Troyes in July 2022, where he scored four goals in 32 appearances.
That earned him a move to Burnley last summer, and he became the Clarets' youngest-ever Premier League goalscorer in October, with a goal against Chelsea.
He made 34 appearances in all competitions for the Clarets last season, scoring five goals, including their goal of the season at Fulham.
