The Premier League is deeply saddened to learn of the passing of former Sheffield United defender George Baldock at the age of 31.
Baldock spent seven years with the Blades from 2017 to 2024, having also played for MK Dons, Northampton and Oxford United.

Born in England, he qualified to play for Greece through his grandmother and made 12 appearances for the national team.
Baldock was instrumental in helping Sheff Utd secure two promotions from the Championship to the Premier League in 2018/19 and 2022/23.
Baldock made 83 Premier League appearances and kept 17 clean sheets in Sheff Utd's defence. He also scored two goals and provided six assists.

He left the club in the summer to join Greek side Panathinaikos.
