Chelsea star Cole Palmer is an injury doubt for Sunday's Premier League match against Arsenal.
Palmer took a knock from a challenge by Lisandro Martinez in the 1-1 draw with Manchester United last weekend.
"Cole Palmer was not able to train yesterday, he was not fit," Enzo Maresca said in his pre-match press conference on Wednesday ahead of Thursday's UEFA Conference League match against Noah, for which Palmer is ineligible to play having not been included in Chelsea's Conference League squad.
“We hope to have him back against Arsenal. We will assess him."
Sancho close to return
Head coach Maresca ruled Jadon Sancho out of Thursday's match with Armenian side Noah but has revealed the winger is not far away from a return.
"Jadon is the only one out tomorrow, with illness," Maresca added.
"He is recovering from that, but he also had a knock in a session. Tomorrow he is out but we will see if he can be available for Sunday’s game, otherwise it will be after the international break for him."
Fantasy Premier League implications
Palmer (£11.0m) is the second-highest scoring player in FPL this season, behind only Mohamed Salah (£12.8m). He also has the second-highest ownership, found in 55.7 per cent of squads, behind only Erling Haaland's (£15.3m) 69.2 per cent.
Some 96,000 FPL managers have already transferred him out of their squads in Gameweek 11. Managers who still own him will need to watch out for Maresca's next update.
