Why the players were nominated
Josh Briggs (West Ham United): Four wins in four matches pushed West Ham up the PL2 table in February. Briggs played a vital role in providing a firm defensive platform, as the young Hammers kept clean sheets against Arsenal, Derby County and Reading.
Logan Briggs (Leicester City): The Premier League Scholar of the Year shone in midfield as Leicester enjoyed a free-scoring February, netting 13 times across their three matches in the month. Briggs was the difference-maker as he scored the winner against Derby, after contributing two assists in the 5-1 victory at Norwich City.
Lemar Gordon (Fulham): The 19-year-old forward stood out as he registered two goals and two assists for Fulham in February. In their 2-0 win against Middlesbrough, he put the Whites ahead before setting up team-mate Seth Ridgeon. Gordon also created Callum Osmand's winning goal in the 1-0 victory at Manchester United and equalised in the 2-2 draw against Everton.
Divin Mubama (Manchester City): The striker, who scored on his first-team debut in January, enjoyed a prolific month, scoring five times. He didn't get his first goal until 17 February, a penalty against Tottenham Hotspur, and it lit the fuse. He went into overdrive, scoring and assisting at Middlesbrough before being ruthless against Chelsea, scoring a hat-trick.
Ademola Ola-Adebomi (Crystal Palace): Returning from his loan spell with Belgian club SK Beveren, Ola-Adebomi scored five goals in a flawless month for the Eagles. The forward struck two against both Stoke City and Aston Villa, before getting the opener in the club's 2-0 victory at West Bromwich Albion.
Lewis Orford (West Ham): The 19-year-old really impressed in a fantastic month for West Ham. His composed performance in midfield helped the Hammers to defeat Arsenal, before he was involved in both goals against Blackburn Rovers - assisting Kamarai Swyer's opener before scoring the penalty that proved to be the winner. He also set up Swyer when West Ham won 3-0 at Reading.
Jay Robinson (Southampton): Saints continued their climb up the PL2 table with a second unbeaten month in a row, and forward Robinson played an important part. He assisted Max Fry's 95th-minute equaliser against Liverpool, scored the match-winning goal at Everton and netted a decisive double against Wolverhampton Wanderers.
Jahmai Simpson-Pusey (Man City): It has been a productive campaign for the 19-year-old defender, who has already made two Premier League appearances. He scored in the PL2 victory over Spurs in a month where he also helped Man City to keep three consecutive clean sheets.
