2009: Shay Given joins Manchester City
After 11 and a half years at Newcastle United, Shay Given joined Manchester City on a four-and-a-half-year deal.
The Republic of Ireland goalkeeper became Mark Hughes’ fourth signing of the transfer window and the club went on to finish 10th.
Given went on to make 50 Premier League appearances for the club, before moving on to Aston Villa in the summer of 2011.
2014: Craig Bellamy makes Premier League history
Craig Bellamy became the first player to score for seven different clubs in the Premier League when he struck in Cardiff City's 2-1 win over Norwich City.
The Welshman equalised from debutant Wilfried Zaha’s pass as Cardiff fought back to claim their first win under manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.
Bellamy had previously scored in the competition for Coventry City, Newcastle United, Blackburn Rovers, Liverpool, West Ham United and Manchester City.
He retired at the end of that 2013/14 season, having scored 81 PL goals in total across 294 appearances.
