Arsenal missed the chance to move top of Premier League 2 Division 1 after being held to a goalless draw by Blackburn Rovers.

Rovers started strongly with Willem Tomlinson, Jack Rodwell and Joe Nuttall all denied by saves from Dejan Iliev in the first half.

Freddie Ljungberg’s side were reduced to 10 men when Charlie Gilmour was dismissed for kicking out at Lewis Travis.

But Blackburn’s Hayden Carter also saw red for a foul on Joe Willock with five minutes remaining, and Willock nearly scored a late winner, being denied by Andy Fisher’s diving save.
