Ten KEY questions for this weekend's matches

As many as NINE assets who face a relegated side are picked in the Scout Selection for Gameweek 36 of Fantasy Premier League.

Manchester City trio Josko Gvardiol (£6.4m), Kevin De Bruyne (£9.5m) and Omar Marmoush (£7.6m) visit Southampton, while there’s also a triple-up on Nottingham Forest’s Matz Sels (£5.2m), Anthony Elanga (£5.4m) and Chris Wood (£7.1m) at home to Leicester City.

Brentford’s Bryan Mbeumo (£8.2m) and Yoane Wissa (£6.7m) are joined by Thomas Frank (£0.8m), who is the Assistant Manager away to Ipswich Town. The Bees have won all five of their meetings with the bottom three, scoring 20 goals in the process.

GW36 Scout Selection
Matz Sels (Nottingham Forest) £5.2m

Nottingham Forest’s No 1 is the top-scoring goalkeeper in Fantasy, earning 143 points thanks to 13 clean sheets and 11 bonus points. Sels can add another shutout to his collection against Leicester, who have failed to score in five of their last six away matches.

Josko Gvardiol (Man City) £6.4m

The Croat is now the most-owned defender in Fantasy, found in 35 per cent of squads after producing four clean sheets in his last six outings. Gvardiol has also scored five goals – more than any other player in his position – to underline his huge potential at both ends of the pitch.

Rayan Ait-Nouri (Wolves) £5.1m

A home encounter with Brighton & Hove Albion gives the Wolverhampton Wanderers wing-back the chance to extend his fine form. Ait-Nouri has earned 33 points in his last three matches at Molineux, combining a goal and two assists with two clean sheets and seven bonus points.

Ryan Sessegnon (Fulham) £4.2m

Listed as a defender in Fantasy, Sessegnon has started each of Fulham’s last five matches as a winger. Ahead of a visit from Everton, he has produced two goals, an assist and 25 points in his last three matches at Craven Cottage.

Mohamed Salah (Liverpool) £13.8m

Despite his recent drop-off in returns, the Liverpool star’s record at Anfield shows why he remains one of the best captain options this Gameweek against Arsenal. Salah has blanked just TWICE in his 17 home appearances this season, while he was a big success in the reverse fixture, scoring and earning 10 points.

Kevin De Bruyne (Man City) £9.5m

Man City’s Belgian is the most-bought player in the Gameweek, earning more than 245,000 transfers for his match against Southampton. De Bruyne has delivered a double-figure return in two of his last four appearances, including an 11-point haul against Wolves in the last Gameweek.

Bryan Mbeumo (Brentford) £8.2m

Brentford’s talisman is the top-scoring player in 2024/25 Fantasy in meetings with the three relegated clubs - Ipswich, Leicester and Southampton. Mbeumo has amassed 64 points over those contests, averaging 12.8 points per match thanks to seven goals and two assists.

Anthony Elanga (Nottingham Forest) £5.4m

The winger has delivered three of his four double-figure returns this season at the City Ground. Elanga’s only other big score was in his last meeting with a relegated club, producing 16 points away to Ipswich in Gameweek 29.

Omar Marmoush (Man City) £7.6m

Despite the return to fitness of Erling Haaland (£14.8m), the Egyptian keeps his place in the Selection. With the FA Cup final taking place next weekend, Marmoush looks less likely to have his minutes limited than his fellow forward, who was an unused substitute against Wolves last time out.

Chris Wood (Nottingham Forest) £7.1m

The Forest forward can get back to his best against Leicester after a run of just one goal in four appearances following his return from injury in Gameweek 32. Wood scored twice to collect 13 points in the reverse fixture back in Gameweek 9.

Yoane Wissa (Brentford) £6.7m

Brentford’s frontman has six goals, an assist and NO blanks in his five meetings with the relegated clubs. Wissa has failed to score or assist in just two of the Bees’ last 10 matches.
